Digital transformation is considered as a boost to for economies. Eu is quite behind but now the gap is widening due to the still AI which still has a low diffusion and development. In the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) research, the following points emerged:

· Europe is adding an AI gap to its digital gap

· AI may scale up in a fast-paced game of competition, innovation, and new skills acquisition

· AI could give EU economies a strong boost

· AI performance is likely to vary among EU member states

· Europe should consider prioritising action in five areas to accelerate its path to AI
